glenn.jpg (6128 bytes)glen.gif (3228 bytes)was born in New Westminster, B.C. Most of his adult life has been spent in British Columbia with a few short stops in Canada's eastern provinces. 

Glen is married to Fay.  They have two married children and four grandchildren.
Both Glen and Fay are descendents of large families with strong family values and ties.

The children are both instrumental in maintaining close family relationships. Son Kevin is a millwright/planner, daughter-in-law Glenda is a REALTOR® also working under the
RE/MAX Williams Lake banner, daughter Robyn is a Commercial Banker with the Royal Bank and son-in-law Ed is a Health and Environmental supervisor for a major sawmill corporation.

Business File

Glen completed his basic schooling in Prince George, B.C., and has had post-secondary education through both Simon Fraser and UBC universities and mature student and Professional Development programs with emphasis on business management.

Following a short but successful career in retail merchandise business Glen spent nearly 20 years in personal finance, business banking and general management for the Royal Bank prior to his acquisition of RE/MAX Williams Lake Realty in 1995.  Since then 2 other offices have been added to their business, RE/MAX Country Lakes Realty has offices in 100 Mile House and at Interlakes on Highway 24.  Glen’s wife, Fay who has also had past experience in retail business management in such diverse fields as retail floral; fabrics and office management joined Glen’s venture a few years ago and is now the office manager for the 3 offices they now own and operate.

Glen's belief in on-going education has seen him complete several key Real Estate Sales and Management courses since entering the field.

Real Estate

Glen has achieved recognition for his educational and certification achievements such as Certified Real Estate Specialist certification through the Real Estate Institute of Canada where he has attained the designation Fellow of the Real Estate Institute. In addition, Glen has earned certification as a Residential Relocation Specialist reflecting the high standards required by national and international relocation companies and by corporate relocation departments.  With a strong background in commercial finance Glen is also active in commercial property transactions in the area.

Community File

Glen has always been active in community and service growth. Formerly an officer in the Canadian Forces Reserve, Glen's last military task was as Deputy Commanding Officer of The Royal Westminster Regiment and he remains a member of the Regimental Association.

Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons have also benefited from Glen's dedication as an Instructor and Newsletter Editor for the Cariboo Power and Sail Squadron.

A Past-President of the Williams Lake Rotary Club, Glen is active in all club activities.

Civic responsibility is also high on Glen's list and he has served as chair of the Williams Lake Economic Development Commission; director of Community Futures Development Corporation.

Most recently Glen has served the real estate industry as president of the BC Northern Real Estate Board who has recognized his many contributions with distinguished award of REALTOR® of the Year for 2008.
